Legends of Caspian: Bandit Battle

"Caspian I would advise you to leave immediately," David advised as they sat in a private room. Luke and Lydia, Davids sister, were there as well.
"Why?" Caspian asked.
"The counsel may decide to have you arrested as a hostage because you are Gelon's son and only heir. Also you made quite a stir in the tavern yesterday. The Unmentionables are feared fighters."
"Why do you called the Black Fighters Unmentionables?" Caspian asked. The Black Fighters were the best of the entire army, chosen to man a foreboding and evil castle called the Black Tower. No prisoner that went there came out alive, causing it also to be known as the Tower of Death. Shepherds int he area came back to the village with reports of terrified screams and strange lights.
"The Tower of Death and all its followers are an evil race to begin with," David said. "Many here are terrified of them, and even their name is held almost as sinister as their actions. Hence the name Unmentionables." Many more conversations were uttered, but after that they left through the main tunnel and out the way they had come in. Workers were already repairing the damage done by the mine-car chase. When they came out they charted a way back to Forgotten Tower. As they marched they came to the top of a hill that David said was called the Hill of Seeing. In the distance they saw a black spike rising into the air.
"The Tower of Death," Davis hissed. Suddenly an arrow whizzed by his head! David whirled and unstrapped a large hammer that had hung from his back. One side was a large curved spike, the other had lots of little spikes on it. Bandits suddenly swarmed the hillside clutching bows, spears, swords, crossbows, pikes, scimitars, and all manner of weapons. A few even clutched clubs or slings. Caspian drew his sword. Luke's bow was singing and many bandits never reached the top of the hill, but there were so many it didn't matter. Lydia had had a bow strapped to her back, but now she had it out and was shooting at the enemy fighters as they swarmed up the hill. The bandits yelled as their pray desperately attacked them, but then found themselves almost outmatched.  Lydia and Luke were back to back and Caspian and David covered their flanks. Caspian swung his sword cleaving a wooden staff in two he struck to his side and disarmed another bandit with a clang! Suddenly a bandit surged forward with a yell and brought his club down on Caspian's head.  Caspian crumpled to the ground out cold and a golden medallion slipped out of his tunic. A dark green clad bandit swept it up with a cold glance at his enemy and then slipped away from the conflict.
