Lorg brought them into one of the towers and then turned off a door with a picture of an anvil and a bowl of stew on it. The door led into a corridor with another door set into the wall at the end. This door was preceded by an opening with no door, where a blacksmith shop had been set up. Bellows, anvil, a large hammer and other tools, a bucket of water, and bins of scrap metal had been set down haphazardly around the shop. Hung on the walls were finely made blades. Their keen edges glittered like gold in the firelight and reflected the beams thrown out by the two torches in the corridor. Caspian then noticed anther open door way at the end of the hall by the door. Again an anvil and stew bowl was painted on it.
"Welcome to anvil and stew!" Lorg said. "I do the anvil part and my wife, Abby, does the stew part." He led Caspian and Luke into the last opening and revealed an assortment of table set up. A man and a woman sat at the far one both with steaming bowls of stew in front of them. Various other men sat drinking around drinking ale and consuming varieties of food and talking amongst themselves. A woman the Lorg introduced as Abby, his wife, was behind the counter stirring a large cauldron of stew. Then he took them to the man and woman sitting at the far end.
"This is David the Blacksmith and Anna the Cook," Lorg said. David rose from the table to shake Caspian's hand. Caspian winced in the powerful grip.
"Good to see ye young feller. Say, yer dress is a mite different then the rest of us," he said not sitting down.
"He... used to work for the palace David," Lorg said quickly as Caspian opened his mouth. Lorg continued, "But now he's going on a little trip to disturb Gelon and the Unmentionables." At this a gasp rose up from the surrounding men.
"E' really plans to attack the Black Fighters," David hissed and whispered at the end. At this the entire tavern descended into silence.
"I will do whatever it takes to free this land," Caspian said narrowing his eyes. Luke had an arrow on his string and was casting wary glances at the men.
"Put your weapon down son," an elderly man with a sword spoke up. "It's just that we don't really mention the Bla- uh, the Unmentionables."
Then David spoke up, "Caspian, me and me sister are at yer service. Who here is with me?" He turned to face the tavern. Deathly silence rested on the tavern.

Legends of Caspian: Subterraton
Lorg and his two companions walked silently down the corridor. As they went a loud noise and bustle of a village became apparent.
"Wha..." Caspian stared in shock as they came to the end of their journey. In front of him was a well lit village, built underground! Huts, stalls, and even a few large stone towers that rose into the ceiling were built in orderly lines like a city! Yet sunlight dappled the various buildings!
"Welcome to Subterraton!" Lorg cried out pleased.
"But how!" Luke protested rubbing his eyes as if he was dreaming.
"The sunlight? It comes from disguised vents in the ceiling, were only about a eighty feet under ground here! This is the inside of a mountain. So instead of tunneling down we go up! This is the center of it all. Those towers lead to the surface and are stocked with defensive devices, but they also began shafts that go to three other spots on the mountain. A lookout is at the very top the mountain, farms on one side, though a bit of farmers have tried their luck here, and a citadel is built on the other side. This is the capitol of the resistance, it's chief glory and pride."
"How many people live here?" Caspian asked.
"Not as many as you might suspect. This village is only about twenty buildings, I would say about hundred fighters, twenty or so craftsmen, and maybe ten refugees."
"This is a marvel!" Caspian breathed looking at the magnificent village.

Legends of Caspian: A Light in the Darkness
The minecar full of menacing soldiers raced along the track as crossbow bolts zipped around Caspian, Luke, and Lorg! They whipped through a corridor, careened around a turn, and suddenly shot across a stone bridge spanning an bottomless, black, chasm. The soldiers were hot on their heels. Luke rose in the teetering minecar his bow in hand with an arrow notched on it's string. Stabbed onto the tip of the glittering arrowhead was a small barrel of firepowder, it's fuse sparking as a flame raced towards the barrel! The soldier's minecar shot onto the bridge as Luke shot! The arrow arced in the darkness and landed squarely in front of the racing minecar. Everything seem to freeze, then there was an earth shattering explosion and the middle of the bridge seemed to vanish as the stone's crumbled and plunged down into the dark abyss. A scream rent the air as the burning minecar plummeted to it's doom into the chasm.
"A nice trick you have there," Lorg yelled as he eased down gently on a lever. The minecar began to slow casting up sparks on the metal tracks. Soon it came to a complete stop in front of a rickety wooden platform. Stacked on the platform was mining equipment, torches, and barrels of supplies. Sacks of gold rested on the rough stone wall. In the middle of it all was a large stone brazier. A large flame curled around oil splashed timber in it, it cast light over the whole platform. A narrow corridor lined with torches led of to a center. Lorg gestured to the corridor, "We go down there."
"Where does it go?" Caspian asked his voice echoing in the cavern.
Lorg grinned and said, "You'll see."
